How to pay your M50 toll online

You can now pay your toll for the M50 in Dublin online.

Unfortunately they don’t appear to have done any search engine optimisation at all and it took me ages to find the site I had to use to make a payment.

It seems a little unfair to be fined if you can’t find the the site that you are supposed to use to pay m50 toll online.

Hopefully my link will help the next person who uses that phrase, a little?

Thanks for the tip, I have been around & around the web trying to pay and with only 3 hrs before the deadline, makes me think they want you to miss the deadline & send you a fine!

  2. Linda Says:

thanks a mill James for taking the time to put this link up spent ages looking for it, and then I came across this. thanks again

  3. James Says:

You’re both welcome. The fact you had to come through here to find it, shows the importance of launching a website propery :)

  4. Irene Says:

Don’t pay for your tolls online. I did but I still got bills in the post demanding payment. They just admitted that there are issues with online payments not registering across the system……use the phone or payzone instead…….

I agree its impossible to find the webside. I rang the NRA to find out and they told me they would call me back in 24 hours, they didnt know. I explained I would be over my period to pay so they put me on hold and found out the name but they are making it very difficult.

I’m not sure that the 8pm deadline is being enforced. I know lots of people who have left it a couple of days before paying and there’s been nothing about it.
There seems to be a large percentage of people who seem to get letters demanding payment even though they’ve been nowhere near the toll bridge.

    thanks for the tip :)

    WARNING!!!!!!

I went to the site (as above…it is the correct one) but it shows up as an unsecure site. Normally you should see a padlock appear on the top right beside the website address, but this doesnt happen. I didnt pay by c/c for this reason. Be very very careful with your credit card on sites which are not secure. Perhaps it becomes secure after you select “send” but I wasn’t willing to find out. If you have done this please shed some light on the situation!

    Genius.

    Thank You.

I was beginning to think I was going insane :)

  10. Nikki Says:

James, Thank you, yours was the only site I came accross that took me to the payment site. You saved me the time it took you to find it.

Thanks very much, your help is much appreciated.

: Kieran, padlock /secure site when making credit card payment just now - in case anyone is dubious :-)
I agree with all comments above - i keep getting fees sent to the fleet company whom my company car is with, yet i have a tag for the past 3 yrs nearly - from which they take the toll!! Aside from the issues - barrier free works pretty good dont you think.

  12. Custard Says:

Thanks a mill for the link. What a shame the Government couldn’t be bothered to ensure that all the private operators would ensure appropriate meta-tags for Google etc. when they took over the M50 charging fiasco!

used the toll before and paid for it the same day i got notice in the post as i dont have a credit card and was not awear that i had to pay by 8 the next day. This time i got my notice to pay but with additional charges that i refused to pay when i spoke with eflow i have paid for use of toll but not add on charges any idea what happens next James.

  14. Derek Blay Says:

I am a Brit who works for an irish company based in Kells.
I have just returned from my first visit since the eflow toll started.

Why on earth was such a complex, messy, stupid system ever implemented?

I have twice had to give my Visa card details - with all the obvious security risks - all for the paltry sum of 6 euros total.

If the queues at the toll booths were a problem the answer is simple - tear down the booths and let the government of Ireland take over the road - God knows you all pay enough tax on your motoring.
Sorry for the rant but this seems like technology for its own sake.

  15. Manda Says:

Thank you so much!!! you’re a gem :)

  16. PissedOffMotorist Says:

This has gotta be the greatest swindle in Irish history…you’re happily driving along a road minding your own business not knowing what the hell eFlow is and that you have to pay an invisible toll and then 14 days laters you’ve got a bill of €41.50 in the post. No one outside Dublin cares about eFlow and never took any interest in how it works and cannot seriously be expected to know that you need to log onto a website or phone a number to pay. It’s utter insanity. I feel like going out right now and drawing a little toll symbol on the road outside my house and start taking pictures of cars as they drive by it then start sending the drivers a bill in the post for €41.50. Oh, you didn’t hear about my toll road you say? Oh well that’s no excuse…you’ve a further 56 days to pay or else I’ll have to increase that amount to €104.50.
